Caravanners will get their first glimpse of the latest innovations in new holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes for 2015 at a major show in Shropshire next month.

The West Midlands Caravan and Motorhome Show, from October 4-12, will launch around 40 new models at Salop Leisure’s impressive sales centre and holiday home village based at Emstrey, Shrewsbury.

Popular, FREE event

The popular, free event, which attracts thousands of visitors from across the UK, aims to be a one stop shop for existing owners and newcomers wishing to buy their first caravan or motorhome.

Salop Leisure’s managing director Mark Bebb recently visited caravan manufacturers’ trade shows in Hull to get a sneak preview of the latest innovations and was excited by the styling and design changes.

He is looking forward to taking the wraps of four caravan holiday home models designed exclusively for Salop Leisure. Priced between £22,395 and £28,990, the ABI Stretton, ABI Long Mynd, Willerby Shrewsbury and Willerby Wrekin will all be unveiled at the show.

Designed using detailed customer feedback

“These new caravan holiday homes have been designed by Salop Leisure in conjunction with the manufacturers following detailed customer feedback during 2014,” said Mr Bebb.

“All three models have distinctive Shropshire names, provide outstanding value for money and we think they are going to be in great demand.”

Also set to make its Shropshire debut is the Swift S-Pod, a hybrid between a caravan holiday home and a glamping pod. The completely self-contained, flexible and versatile pod is packed with all the features needed for a comfortable stay away.

Perfect for weekend breaks

Perfect for weekend breaks, it gives immediate access to the great outdoors. A demonstration model showing a cross section of a Swift’s new SMART intelligent construction system for touring caravans will also be on display. SMART provides a strong, timberless body frame with modern, desirable looks and a leading aerodynamic shape that is highly resilient to moisture.

A team of experts will be on hand at the show to guide first time buyers through the complete process, which also includes helping to find the ideal park location for caravan holiday homes in the Heart of England, inland Mid Wales or the Mid Wales Coast.

There will also be a caravan holiday home and park finding zone, promoting around 20 top quality parks in individual marquees and an extended accessory superstore with price reductions on many lines.

Latest innovations

“This show is a great place to see the latest innovations in 2015 caravan holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes and there’s always lots going on to keep families entertained,” said Mr Bebb.

“We are fortunate to work with leading caravan and motorhome manufacturers and the top caravan parks in Mid Wales and the Heart of England, which are among the best in Europe.”

Family entertainment will be provided by Edge Adventure Activity Centre, Much Wenlock who will be invited visitors to try their hand at climbing, archery and other activities. Shrewsbury Morris Dancers will also be making their debut at the show.

Raising money for charity

Coffees and teas sold to visitors throughout the 10 days will help to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance, Salop Leisure’s adopted charity for 2014.

In addition to free parking and show admission, visitors will be able to visit Love Plants, a specialist plants centre alongside Salop Leisure’s headquarters and the popular Love Coffee restaurant on site. Free and tickets are available to download at www.caravanevent.co.uk.
