Bluebird Care Shropshire is a professional home care service based in Shrewsbury, designed to help people stay in their own homes and it has exciting opportunities available for new part time and full time care staff.

Bluebird Care Shropshire gives its clients the freedom to live their lives as independently as possible - with a little help from a friendly and professional care team.

Treated as individuals

The carers at Bluebird Care Shropshire ensure that all of the people they help are treated as individuals. Special care is offered to people who want to stay at home rather than go into residential care, and just need a little help.

Exciting opportunities

The company has exciting opportunities available in 2013 for people looking to get into care work.

So, what makes a good carer? Ian Barnes, Director of Bluebird Care, explains: "You need to be a nice person first and foremost, that is what we would look for initially. You need to be flexible and we offer flexible full and part time hours in return from 10 hours to 40 hours a week.

Love it

"We accept people of all ages and we provide three days of thorough training to set you on your way. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and work hard. Care work isn't for everyone, but people who do it, love it."

This year, the company has opened a Centre of Excellence at its head office in Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury. It offers exceptional training facilities for staff, including the chance to obtain qualifications including NVQs and QCFs with Ludlow College, the chance to practice with equipment and learn from experts in certain areas including dementia, diabetes and infection control.

Excellent prospects

Ian added: "We encourage and support staff to get appropriate qualifications and there are always prospects for people to advance. Our pay is competitive and we cover travel costs. We are looking for people to work in Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Oswestry and the areas surrounding those places.

"Typically, the work involves helping people to get up, get dressed and ready for their day ahead. It's a very rewarding job and we look forward to hearing from people ready for a new challenge."
