A leading Shropshire caravan dealership will be supporting a spectacular event at RAF Cosford in July, which will be attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.
Salop Leisure, based at Emstrey, Shrewsbury, will be taking a caravan holiday home, touring caravan and motorhome to the Shropshire Diamond Jubilee Pageant on July 12, which is expected to attract 50,000 people.
The big day will be the biggest royal event ever staged in Shropshire and a stunning centerpiece to the county’s jubilee celebrations.
The event, described as the county’s “show of the decade”, will highlight the brightest and best of the Shropshire’s industrial, commercial and agricultural expertise, together with entertainment and fun for all the family.
Five thousand school children together with numerous business, voluntary and charity organisations will display their artistic and musical talents.
Salop Leisure’s marketing manager Scott Higgins said: “We are delighted to be invited to take part in this fantastic Shropshire event to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
“With many thousands of people attending the event, it’s a great opportunity for the company to promote the benefits of caravan and motorhome ownership. It’s our policy to take caravan holiday homes to the people to give them an opportunity to see the latest models at their leisure.
“We are seeing more first time buyers this summer who are investing in home from home luxury holiday accommodation that can be used by the owners and their family as often as they wish and for no extra cost.”
