An award winning caravan and motorhome dealership and its associated specialist plant centre aim to make a big impression at Shrewsbury Flower Show on August 14 and 15.

Salop Leisure will have a stand on Victoria Avenue near the Craft Tent on the show site, while Love Plants will have a major exhibit with a shop and showpiece garden in a prime location at the top of Gloucester Avenue opposite the Members’ Tent.

The successful company, which has its headquarters alongside Shrewsbury bypass at Emstrey, has been supporting the flower show for more than 30 years and is now one of the major sponsors.

Headliners at this year’s show are The Proclaimers, celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, gardening expert Pippa Greenwood, display team The Knights of the Damned and classical crossover vocal harmony group Ancora.

Salop Leisure’s chairman Tony Bywater says the event, which claims to be the world’s longest running flower show, provides a perfect stage for Salop Leisure to showcase its products.

The company will have a caravan holiday home, touring caravan and motorhome on display and Love Plants will be selling a full range of quality plants from its stand.

“The content of this year’s show is better than ever, with something on offer for all ages, and we hear that advance ticket sales are going very well,” said Mr Bywater.

“The show is one of the highlights of our calendar because it attracts so many people to Shrewsbury from all over the UK. It has a tremendous following from Shropshire and Mid Wales people and always generates quality leads that turn into sales.

“It gives us an ideal opportunity to introduce potential customers to the latest caravan holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes, as well as promoting Love Plants, which was incredibly popular last year.”

The company sells tickets for the show at its headquarters and promotes the event to visitors at every opportunity.
