A Shropshire business which planned to create new jobs after moving to new, larger premises has welcomed an addition the team - just two months after the move.
Ace Car Care Ltd officially opened its doors in new £500,000 premises on Shrewsbury’s Battlefield Enterprise Park in February this year.
Director Pam Williams led a major bespoke refit of the building and said the plan was for the business to grow by up to 30 per cent in 12 months, with staff numbers increasing between 30 and 50 per cent.
And the first step for new staff has been to welcome 20-year-old Ben Hadley, of Sutton Farm, Shrewsbury, to the team.
Ben trained at Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology before spending time working in a county bar and restaurant while he looked for a job in mechanics.
He said: “I have always wanted to be working in the car industry. I love cars, all cars, so this is a really great opportunity for me.
“It has been great so far and I am really enjoying on-the-job training and learning about all of the different aspects of the business.”
Mrs Williams said Ben has joined a happy team at Ace Car Care and is already fitting in well.
“We are always more interested in getting the right person and training them, than taking on someone skilled that is not the right person for the team,” she added.
“We pride ourselves on fantastic customer service and to achieve this you need a happy working team who focus on looking after people. Ben shares this personal quality, so has fitted in really well.”
Ace Car Care Ltd, which moved from Harlescott Lane to the new site at 7D AND 7E Vanguard Park, off Vanguard Way, offers a full range of vehicle styling, tuning and minor paintwork repairs.
