Food group HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF), based at Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre, has launched a new service changing the way local food and drink companies do business.
Producers from the heart of England region can now take advantage of the HEFF Trading Desk to help maximise sales within the hospitality and retail sectors.
With more than 14 years experience in the food and drink industry HEFF has a dedicated team working on behalf of its producer members to increase sales both regionally and nationally.
The Trading Desk team take the hassle out of the adminstration by handling the ordering and invoicing process on behalf of producers and keep buyers up to date with seasonal additions to lines, providing a valuable service to small, artisan producers.
The producers deliver directly to the buyer setting their delivery parameters with the Trading Desk, which ensures the important one to one contact is kept between producer and buyer.
The team also offer retail buyers independent range reviews, free point of sale materials to highlight local food and drink and can gather product information and quotes to assist sourcing.
Supply Chain Development Manager Rachel Kitto said: “The HEFF Trading Desk is a new service for our producer members helping them with increasing their sales, many of which are small businesses with limited staffing resource.
“The HEFF Trading Desk is not only a service for producers, it is also a free service to assist both retailers and food service outlets source local food and drink from the heart of England.”
HEFF is exhibiting at Food and Drink Expo featuring Farm Shop and Deli, the UK’s largest sector trade show in 2012, at the NEC Birmingham from 25-27 March. Visit the HEFF Trading Desk team on stand J120k to find out more about how the HEFF Trading Desk could be helping your business.
