The Shropshire Drama Company are offering a Valentine's evening of fine food, romantic poetry and music in Shrewsbury to raise money for The Severn Hospice.
Die-hard romantics looking for something different to offer their partners over the Valentine’s period may want to consider an evening of fine food and entertainment with proceeds being donated to a local charity.
Shropshire Drama Company (SDC) in conjunction with The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury is hosting a Valentine’s Evening on Friday 15 February at the hotel’s Hayward restaurant.
Diners will be arriving to a champagne reception, followed by a three-course meal (with vegetarian options), and will be treated to a number of romantic poetry readings and live music throughout the evening from members of the drama company.
SDC member and event co-organiser Joanna Purslow said: “The Hayward restaurant at The Lion Hotel is a perfect setting for this kind of event. It is intimate enough for people wishing to enjoy a special evening together, yet big enough for us to entertain a discerning audience with a mixture of romantic and witty love poetry and music, as well as raising money for a worthy charity such as the Severn Hospice.”
Tickets for the Valentine’s Evening are £35 (£5 of which will be donated to Severn Hospice).
For more information and to book ticket call The Lion Hotel on 01743 353107 or online at www.wegottickets.com/event/201888 for which there will be a small booking fee.
