A Shropshire firm of solicitors is celebrating after a member of its legal team marked two decades’ service at the practice.
PCB Solicitors is honouring Penny Chambers after she clocked up 20 years with the firm at its Church Stretton branch, with this year also marking half a century since she began working within the legal profession.
Penny joined P H Halstead Solicitors in Church Stretton in 1994 to which PCB Solicitors is a successor firm. Penny has worked within the Residential Property department as a Legal Assistant where she now assists Nicola Pugh, Chartered Legal Executive, with Residential and Agricultural Conveyancing matters. To celebrate the occasion and as a thank you, the firm held a special celebration at the Church Stretton office, where all four Partners presented Penny with flowers and a gift for long service.
Penny explained: “During the 20 years I’ve worked at PCB’s Church Stretton office, I’ve seen the firm expand and go from strength-to-strength, which has been hugely exciting to witness. Things have changed enormously since my first days in the legal profession – long gone are the manual typewriters and shorthand notepads, and technology has taken over, and this has only served to enhance the service we’re able to offer our clients. My overriding aim throughout the years with the firm is to provide an honest, face-to-face, professional service to all our clients.”
Rachael Hughes, Managing Partner at PCB Solicitors, said: “We’d like to offer our congratulations to Penny, who is a real asset to the team and has proven to be a dedicated and committed member since she joined us on 7th November 1994. This year also marks Penny’s half centenary working in the legal profession – which is a huge achievement in itself. As a firm, we are proud that a significant number of our staff have been with us for many years, and we believe this is a result of the ongoing support and development they receive, and the encouragement that is provided to develop their careers.”
