It may not yet feel like it but Christmas is coming - and people in Shrewsbury are being urged to order a Christmas tree to help decorate the town centre.

Shrewsbury BID is once again arranging delivery of 4-foot trees, complete with twinkling lights, for businesses and residents who live in the centre of town.

Trees are supplied by Leaton Forest and installed by Potters Electrical and can be easily ordered on the Shrewsbury BID website - but orders need to be in by October 22.

Each tree costs £45+VAT, or £40 for BID members, to include installation if there is a suitable bracket in place.

People can also order a bracket if they don’t already have one or it needs replacing - for more information, visit https://shrewsburybid.co.uk/product-category/christmas-trees/

Emma Molyneux, of Shrewsbury BID, advised businesses and residents to get their orders in sooner rather than later.

“The Christmas trees always add such a special atmosphere to the town centre, so we hope as many people as possible will order one,” she said.

“It’s a very simple process, and we are pleased to be able to offer the installation of new brackets wherever they are necessary.

“We would like to say a big thank you to Leaton Forest for partnering with us again and supplying so many high-quality trees, which help bring such a festive glow to Shrewsbury.

“I know Christmas may seem a way off yet, but we would really appreciate it if people got their orders in as soon as they could to avoid any disappointment.”
