An existential psychotherapist, writer and Zen Buddhist Monk is returning to Shrewsbury College to present a workshop.

Manu Bazzano, author of, Spectre of the Stranger: towards a phenomenology of hospitality, and Editor of After Mindfulness: New Perspectives on Psychology and Meditation, is due to return to Shrewsbury College next month to deliver a one-day workshop for counsellors, psychotherapists and anyone with a keen interest in therapy.

The seminar will include a mixture of theory and Zen meditation, paired and group work and exercises.

Shrewsbury College hosted the first unique, sell-out seminar with Manu Bazzano, back in September 2013, with participants travelling from as far as London to attend.

Naomi O’Hanlon, 41, currently studying Counselling, attended a seminar last year. She said: “It was a really thought provoking and insightful day. I would definitely encourage people to attend one of Manu’s seminars.”

Julie Webb, Counselling tutor at Shrewsbury College, said: “It is a real coup to have someone of Manu’s calibre coming to talk to our students and fellow counselling professionals.”

The seminar will take place on Saturday, 21 March, from 9.30am to 4pm at Shrewsbury College. Tickets cost £60 and spaces are limited. To book a place call 01743 342411.
