On the back of the success of the much loved Café Retreat in Shrewsbury, Serenity are proud to announce the launch of The Stonehouse Bistro.
The Stonehouse Bistro offers a lunch time menu to compliment the existing Café Retreat homemade fayre, but will also transform the Café in the evening into a unique and intimate setting.
Tucked into the eaves under the beautiful original stone arches of the old St Nicolas church, this historical setting overlooks Darwin’s old school, the library and Shrewsbury Castle.
The space has been ympathetically converted and revamped giving a rustic, quirky but modern feel.
Proudly using local produce from the Shropshire countryside, The Stonehouse Bistro is one of a kind in Shrewsbury, as at the heart of the menu will be the volcanic ‘hot rock’ experience, where diners can cook their own meals to perfection at their table.
This type of dining is very successful abroad and reminds most people of being on holiday. With all the sizzling and theatrical appearance, this way of dining is social and fun, encouraging conversation and engaging atmosphere.
With choice ranging from the very best steak, extra matured for tenderness, to tuna, king prawns, fajitas and even mouth watering vegetarian treats.
With no oil or fat this way of cooking is healthy and in keeping with the existing and successful gluten and dairy free café menu.
Other dishes on the menu include authentic stone baked pizzas, pie of the week, olde English sausage and more - all homemade from hearty mains to sumptuous starters to delicious desserts.
The Stonehouse Bistro is great for all occasions whether it be a family dinner, birthday fun or business meeting as we provide free WIFI for all customers.
At present, The Stonehouse Bistro opens on Friday and Saturday nights 6-10pm and will be extending it’s opening hours in the next few months to Sunday lunch and Thursday evenings.
