A specialist plants centre in Shrewsbury is enjoying record-breaking sales figures after celebrating its fifth birthday last month.

Staff at Love Plants, which is based at caravan and motorhome dealership Salop Leisure’s Emstrey headquarters, are working flat out to keep up with demand for plants and gardening products as the weather has improved.

Love Plants was opened by award-winning gardener and landscape designer Chris Beardshaw in April, 2013 and is now established as one of the most popular specialist plants centres in Shropshire.

The centre has nine full and part-time staff, each having specialist gardening knowledge to share with customers.

Love Plants’ manager Tim Robinson and assistant manager Heather Evans cut their fifth birthday cake watched by sales assistants Gill Jones, Caroline Pond and Simon Bebbington.

“It’s a special year for Love Plants, which is celebrating its fifth birthday and I am delighted with the way the business has developed, said SalopLeisure’s chairman Tony Bywater. “I attribute its success not only to the quality plants that are sold, but also to the knowledge and advice that our staff share with customers.

Specialising in good, old fashioned customer service, the Love Plants team is happy to advise gardeners on the best treatments and plants for their gardens.
