A Shropshire firm of solicitors is reminding residents across the region about an independent legal organisation that aims to provide specialist advice to elderly and vulnerable people and their families.

PCB Solicitors is raising awareness of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), a national organisation of legal professionals – including Susan Grazier, Pauline Davies, Nicola Pugh and Lynn Vowles of the PCB team – who provide specialist advice to elderly, infirm or disabled adults and their families.

Pauline Davies, Probate Solicitor at PCB Solicitors and an SFE member, explained: “Many vulnerable people don’t know who to turn to when they have a legal issue, and with the increasing longevity of the UK population, aging and quality of life are becoming progressively important issues.

“The SFE was set up to address the issues that older and vulnerable people face, whilst providing a forum for those working in the industry to increase their knowledge and ensure they deliver appropriately legal advice. Members of the organisation have a vast amount of experience working with the elderly which means clients receive expert advice and guidance, from a compassionate and caring individual.

“SFE comprises of solicitors, barristers, and legal executives from across the country, and provides expert advice to elderly individuals on all legal areas that may affect them, from estate planning and living wills, through to care home contracts and funding for long term care,” Pauline concluded.
