A leading Shrewsbury company has launched an appeal to collect as many Easter Eggs as possible for the children and families who use Shropshire’s Hope House Children’s Hospice.

Storage King at Archers Way on the Battlefield Enterprise Park has started the appeal by donating 100 chocolate eggs themselves.

Spokesperson Andy Bowsher said, “Hope House is a charity that we have supported for a long time at Storage King, both through donations and events. We thought it would be nice to send up Easter Eggs for all the children who use Hope House and are appealing to the people of Shrewsbury to back our appeal.”

Hope House at Oswestry currently supports over 300 local families who are in the heart-breaking situation of having their child diagnosed with a terminal illness. The hospice offers professional nursing care to help look after the child, and also counselling and support for the whole family including brothers and sisters.

County Fundraising Manager Vanessa Thomas said that the Easter Eggs would be very much appreciated by all the children and families at Hope House.

For further details, please contact Andy Bowsher on 01743 464400. If you or your business would like to donate / drop off any Easter Eggs, Storage King is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm. The Easter Egg appeal runs until March 31st 2010.
