People registered as a Friend of Love Plants, the specialist plants centre based in Shrewsbury, by the end of September will have a chance of winning a fantastic prize to carry out a garden makeover.
The popular business, which is based at caravan and motorhome dealership Salop Leisure’s headquarter alongside Shrewsbury bypass at Emstrey, is offering £1,000 worth of plants to the winner of the prize draw.
The exciting prize is being offered to celebrate the launch of Love Plants’ brand new website - https://www.love-plants.co.uk/ - which is packed with useful information about plants, tools and accessories, gardening tips and ‘Things to do’ in your garden every month of the year.
The new website, built by Shropshire marketing agency Reech - in readiness for Love Plants’ 10th birthday next spring, will be officially launched at Shrewsbury Flower Show today (Friday) and tomorrow.
New customers can register as a Friend of Love Plants via www.love-plants.co.uk/loyalty-scheme or during a visit to the popular centre. Becoming a ‘Friend’ entitles customers to loyalty points which can be used as a monetary discount and they are also notified of offers, promotions and the latest news from Love Plants.
The winner will be announced in October, in time to give their garden a makeover before winter sets in.
Staff from Love Plants will be promoting the draw and the new website on the Salop Leisure stand at Shrewsbury Flower Show.
Love Plants’ manager Tim Robinson said: “Whether you have an established garden or are starting from scratch, it can be costly to get your garden looking how you want it to look.
“The £1,000 prize will give the winner a fantastic boost to put in the structure of the garden. The prize is a great way of launching our exciting, new website which will showcase the wide range of plants that we stock as we prepare for our 10th birthday next spring.”
Sarai Gil, head of digital projects at Reech, said: “We’re really excited to launch the new Love Plants website with the team. It’s been a great project to work on, creating a bespoke website design, developing a suite of photography and videography and helping launch the Friends of Love Plants competition.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the response to their new look and fantastic giveaway.”
Love Plants is calling on Tom Pountney, head groundsman at the neighbouring Love2Stay glamping and touring resort, to hold workshops on Saturday, September 24 and Saturday, October 15, both at 2pm, focused on creating the perfect garden from scratch.
Tom is a hugely experienced gardener who, over a number of years, has transformed a large field into a beautiful, walk through, half an acre garden at Kynaston, near Kinnerley, Oswestry, which is often open to the public as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS).
Between July 21-23 this year, he raised £3,000 for the NGS’s charities by opening his garden.
