James Martin will once again be taking to the HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF) Regional Cookery Theatre stage at this week’s Shrewsbury Flower Show.

The Saturday Kitchen chef will be creating mouth-watering dishes during three demonstrations each day this Friday 10th and Saturday 11th.

James, who entertained the crowds at the Flower Show in 2009, will be using a range of locally-sourced produce in his dishes on the HEFF Regional Cookery Theatre in the Marches Food Hall.

HEFF is headed up at The Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre in Shrewsbury, which is also home to the Taste Kitchen.

HEFF members the Bubbling Stove, Fish in a Box and Rayessa’s Indian Kitchen will also be on the cookery theatre stage. Seren Evans-Charrington of the Bubbling Stove, Bishops Castle, will be demonstrating how to make edible flowers, Fiona Asson of Fish in a Box, Newport, will be sharing some delicious fish recipes, and Rayessa Asghar-Sandys, of Rayessa’s Indian Kitchen, Hereford, will be filling the air with delicate spicy aromas as she cooks some of her favourite Indian dishes. Chefs from Drapers Hall, Shrewsbury, will also be taking to the stage.

All demonstrations across the two days will be compered by BBC Radio Shropshire’s Jim Hawkins.

The HEART of ENGLAND fine foods Local Food Guide will also be on sale at a special show offer of just £1*.  The glossy magazine is packed full of features about food and drink from across the heart of England region along with a guide to the area’s food and drink producers, farm shops, delis and restaurants.
