Miruji Beach Spa on Roushill, Shrewsbury, has celebrated its first two months of successful trading by holding a beach party.

More than one hundred people came along and many got in the Caribbean spirit by dressing up.

The guests were entertained by local steel band, The Sunshine Band, and enjoyed authentic Caribbean food and drinks.

Paul Rushworth, a local comedy magician entertained the guests on the beach. To round off the fabulous evening, top funk band Booyaka got everyone up on the dance floor with their unique sound.

The party was held at the Miruji Beach Spa to celebrate its huge success. Owner Alan Sharrock said the party was held to say “a big thank you to the people of Shrewsbury who have come along and used the Spa over the last two months”.

He said: “When I went on Dragons’ Den last year they were very sceptical about the business. I am looking forward to meeting Hilary Devey when she comes along to film the follow up programme."

Sue, who attended the party, said: “The beach party was the best party I’ve been to.”

While Ann added: “I loved the music, food and it was great to make some new friends. I can’t wait for the next beach party."
