These standalone devices use natural heat that they extract from the outside air to heat up the water in your hot tub. Air source heat pumps work by using a pump fan to draw in the air and then using an evaporator coil filled with a liquid refrigerant to turn it into a gas. The gas is then compressed, heated and passed through the heat exchanger, which heats up the water and maintains a consistent temperature with an efficient and economical transfer of heat.
