The much-anticipated 2013 Burwarton Show in Bridgnorth, Shropshire on 1st August will help to raise vital funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Scarecrow Trail
As one of the two chosen charities, Midlands Air Ambulance will receive half of the total proceeds from Nock Deighton Agricultural LLP’s Scarecrow Trail to be hosted at The Burwarton Show again this year. Exhibitors are encouraged to make and display a scarecrow on their stand, which will be judged and voted for as ‘best in show’. By purchasing a trail map, following the trail of scarecrows around the show ground and voting for their favourite, those visiting the one-day event will help to boost Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s funds.
Prize Draw
As an incentive to take part, those who buy a trail map will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury hamper sponsored by the Ludlow Hamper Company
Grateful charity managers
Maria Jones, Shropshire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, adds: “We’re extremely grateful to be one of the two beneficial charities of the Scarecrow Trail. As a life saving service which receives no Government or Lottery funding, all donations and fundraising activity is greatly appreciated. I’m looking forward to attending the show and seeing all the scarecrows, we may even add our own entry this year too!”
