Bluebird Care Shropshire, the award-winning home care provider, has announced a significant £500,000 investment in a new operations hub in Bayston Hill, marking an exciting new chapter for the growing business.

The company has purchased new premises on the busy A49, which will be transformed into a modern, purpose-built base to support its expanding services. A comprehensive refurbishment programme is set to begin in April and is expected to take approximately four months to complete. With over £100,000 being invested into the refurbishment alone, the new hub will provide high-quality office space tailored to the needs of the team and the people they support.

Founded in 2007 by Ian Barnes, Bluebird Care Shropshire has grown from a small start-up into one of the county’s leading home care providers. Over the past 17 years, the organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering compassionate, reliable care, helping people remain independent in their own homes.

Today, the company employs around 80 dedicated care professionals and operates local teams across Shrewsbury, Church Stretton and Oswestry. Their services include both live-in care and regular home visits, supporting individuals throughout Shropshire, including those in rural communities.

Speaking about the investment, founder Ian Barnes said he is incredibly proud of the business and the culture created within the team. He highlighted that the new premises represent an important step forward, enabling the organisation to continue growing while maintaining the high standards of care it is known for.

The new operations hub will not only provide improved facilities for staff but will also strengthen Bluebird Care Shropshire’s ability to meet increasing demand for home care services across the region. Its prominent location in Bayston Hill will also enhance visibility and accessibility for clients and families.

This investment reflects Bluebird Care Shropshire’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care while supporting the local community — ensuring more people can live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes.
