With this in mind our quality team at the dental spa all have a role in delivering the best possible patient care. Providing clinical effectiveness, safety and a truly patient centred service. Focussing on a holistic view where listening and understanding patients is paramount. Giving patients a stronger voice in decisions about their dental care and providers. Seeking constantly to improving services which reflect their needs and personal preferences.

The highly trained team are dedicated and determined to improve continuously the patients experience as well as supporting one another. Getting to know our patients on a personal level developing a relationship based on trust. From the first point of contact our priority is to reassure the patient and put them at ease. Welcoming them to the spa we offer patients the opportunity to meet the team in a non-clinical environment to discuss their individual needs and wants.

With a separate telephone line for nervous/phobic patients, we offer the unique opportunity to work with our resident counsellor, who can work consistently with the patient throughout the entire journey to help guide them along the path to better health. Through person centred therapy coupled with CBT we encourage patients to become their own therapist where they are able to manage their anxiety levels and obtain a greater understanding of their dental fears.

Counselling is offered in a non-clinical environment away from the dental chair. In severe cases may even take place in the car park as even the waiting area can be too frightening for some phobic patients. As a qualified dental nurse and radiographer she is able to assist the dentist once the patient is confident to attempt treatment. Working together the patient remains in control and sets the pace for treatment. This personal connection instils a strong relationship of trust. Demonstrating continuity of care and relationships knowing each patient as an individual.

Informing the patient through understandable language, no jargon and visuals on computer/iPad as well as providing written information for the patient to take home and digest. Our competent and experienced care co-ordinators are on hand to discuss treatment options/plans in a non-formal setting. Providing professional patient education enabling patients to actively participate in their care.

We provide high-quality cost effective care plans tailored for each individual patient’s needs. With Denplan Excell accreditation we provide an excellent range of care options  and also offer an interest free loan facility.

Our top of the range CT scanner provides 3D imagery giving patients access to the best/high quality tools and technologies that improve clinical work flow and patient care.

With a variety of treatments available under one roof our state of the art purpose built property enables patients easy access and parking. With access to our well known and experienced orthodontic consultant, Maxiofacial consultant, general and cosmetic dentists able to provide implants. Working with Noble Biocare we can provide patients fully restored implant retained bridges in one day/visit.

Offering early morning, late night and weekend appointments as we understand how precious patients’ time is.

We also like to get our younger patients involved by hosting regular Kidz clubs. Inviting parents and children to come along an meet the team in an informal setting. Including, toothbrush demonstrations, healthy eating quizzes, competitions and games to make brushing time more fun.  Competition winners not only win fabulous prizes but earn a place on the Spa Kidz Wall of Fame!  Our gentle approach encourages children and we find they actually love coming to visit us.

Not forgetting our patients who are unable to attend the practice due to ill health - our duty of care extends beyond the practice walls. Domiciliary visits are available and we work closely with our local hospice to ensure all patients are comfortable and treated with dignity and respect at all times. Our staff are Dementia friends/champions and have firsthand experience when helping patients and relatives alike. Ensuring wellbeing is promoted, listening to every patients views, wishes, feelings and beliefs.

The Dental Spa support our local Health Watch group. As members we have an active interest in the local community identifying patient needs and responding to enquiries.

As much as we love creating beautiful smiles, we also enjoy seeing them! Encouraging a professional yet playful atmosphere where patients can feel relaxed. If our team are having fun the patients generally are too. Raising money for various charities through bake sales, wearing comedy wigs, fancy dress the patients often call by for a cuppa and a cake in support.

Our overall aim is to bring smiles to community with a welcoming, experienced specialist team, whose priority is to deliver the best possible patient care.
