BOOKING OPENS MONDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER

Arts Alive is proud to announce the launch of its new Autumn / Winter season, bringing a vibrant and eclectic mix of live theatre, music, comedy, storytelling, and family entertainment to rural communities across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Herefordshire, and beyond.

With over 36 live performances lined-up between October and December, Arts Alive continues its mission to deliver high-quality professional arts experiences in village halls, community centres, and intimate rural venues. 

Season Highlights Include:

  • Heidi Talbot – The internationally renowned folk singer performs in Wem and Clungunford.
  • Jekyll & Hyde – A gripping new take on the gothic classic, visiting Alveley and The Edge Arts Centre.
  • How Reggae Changed the World – A joyous celebration of reggae music and its cultural legacy.
  • The Great Baldini’s Family Magic Show – A dazzling performance for all ages.
  • Medusa – An atmospheric reimagining of myth and feminism from Scratchworks Theatre Company.
  • Done to Death, By Jove! – A comic romp through detective fiction clichés.
  • Penguins – A delightful festive dance show perfect for family audiences in December.
  • Plus music from Klezmer FoyglJali Bakary KontehDaisy Chapman, and more.


Rural Touring That Inspires

The season opens on Thursday 2nd October with My Car Plays Tapes in Whitchurch and Gobbess at SpArC Theatre, Bishops Castle. Events then continue throughout the region until Thursday 18th December, closing with After Supper Ghost Stories by Gav Cross at Clungunford Village Hall.

Arts Alive's model ensures affordable, accessible live arts across the region, working hand-in-hand with dedicated local promoters and venue partners. Each performance offers a unique experience – whether it’s an intimate gig in a village hall or a theatrical spectacle in an unusual space.
