Shropshire County Show organisers are inviting residents from towns and villages to take advantage of the advance ticket prices ahead of this year’s show.
The two-day event will take place on May 14 and 15 in 2011 – a month earlier than last year – and tickets are now available to buy in advance from the website at www.shropshirecountyshow.com or by calling the Show Office on 01743 289831.
Entry tickets will include FREE car parking and a FREE programme. A FREE bus will operate from the Train Station and Bus Station in Shrewsbury.
Last year’s inaugural Shropshire County Show was a huge success and thousands of people are set to converge on the Berwick Road showground in Shrewsbury once again this year – when the event is set to be bigger and better with the added bonus of the poultry classes returning.
Keith Brown, chairman of the pig section at this year’s show, said: “The first Shropshire County Show was an outstanding success and we are extremely excited about what this year’s May event has in store.
“There will be scores of cattle, sheep, pig, horse and poultry entries, events in the main ring and countryside arena and lots more besides.”
The show is expected to attract thousands of people of all ages from all over the country to Shropshire and local residents are being urged to snap up tickets.
Visitors to the event can spend the day touring the grounds and displays of classic cars and agricultural vehicles, the wonderful food hall, craft displays, non-stop entertainment in the arenas and much, much more.
And it may prove tough to fit everything in with so much for families to do including being entertained by the New Zealand Sheep Show, the Midland Tug of War, trying a Formula 1 Racing Car simulator, cuddling with Simon Airey’s Corner Exotics and Miller’s Ark Farm Animals, sitting in the cockpit of a Royal Air Force Red Arrow and watching the Ferret Racing!
Tickets are now available from the website at a cost of £10.00 for adults, £3.00 for children and £8.00 for the over 60s and from the show office.
On show days tickets will be available on the gates at £12.00 for adults, £4.00 for children and £10.00 for the over 60s.
For more information contact the show office on (01743) 289831 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
