Do you have a nervous dog? Or one who dislikes their trip to the see the vet? Below is some great advice from the team at Abbey Veterninary Centre in Shrewsbury. Find out more about their services here and read on!


ALL our vets, nurses and receptionists at Abbey Vets adopt a “fear free”ethos. We will always make sure that your pets emotional wellbeing is supported during vet visits.

We all try our best to make sure your pet has an enjoyable visit, we are always fully stocked with tasty treats to help make it a positive experience.

Our Head Veterinary Nurse Jo is a certified “fear free” nurse and is currently working towards her level 5 certification in Canine Behaviour Management.

We also have our wonderful Registered Veterinary Nurse Vikki who has just started her level 5 certification in Canine Behaviour Management.

As well as our lovely Vet Zoe who has worked hard to get Dog Friendly Clinic assessment by The Dogs Trust and will be starting a Veterinary Behaviour course soon!
