Tourist Attractions in Shrewsbury
Acton Scott Historic Working Farm
This tourist attraction near Shrewsbury is packed with live demonstrations that reflect the real workings of a Victorian farm, as seen on BBC2's 'Victorian Farm'. Watch the blacksmith in his forge! Gasp at the huge Shire horses! Ideal for families, groups and school trips.

A great place to visit with family. We heard a very interesting talk on shire horses, saw some spinning visited the herb garden and loved seeing the calves. The cafe lunch was good. Even better when all the old machinery, butter making, barrel making etc it back up and running as it used to be.

Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
An educational, entertaining day out near Shrewsbury. Highlights incl. a GPS treasure trail, simulated balloon ride and life size replica of a woolly mammoth! The centre focuses on interactivity and is perfect for the whole family or school trips.

Good quality and choice of food in the cafe but surprisingly not dog friendly which is a real disappointment as they could very easily accommodate given hard floors and multiple entrances to the cafe. No outside shelter so would only visit again on a dry day. Couple of destination EV chargers which is a bonus.
