We were very pleased with the service although when we got an insurance quote for a new home the only date we had at the time was the expected completion. The insurance premium was agreed on that. We later learnt that we had to insure from exchange of contracts. When we did that the premium went up by over 10%. Whilst not the fault of Howden directly we feel that Howden staff should have been aware of the exchange date being the important date not the completion and with that knowledge we may not have incurred the extra cost
