James at Howden is always very efficient and helpful, and I'm happy with their service.
However, recently, it has taken ages for the phone to be answered. I have had to hang on for 4 minutes or more before someone picks up.

I have been with your company quite a while and the reason I stay is all of your team are very friendly and very helpful and and go through any questions you may have in a way you can understand.
I use to spend a whole day looking for the best deal and reading the small print but never sure if I got the best deal, now I leave it all to Howdens and they don't let me down.

The man was good explained my insurance ask if I need anything more and I said no and I remind him of to send it in paper form and he said I put that into the computer

My home was flooded in January which was quite harrowing and very unnerving. My first reaction was to phone Howden Insurance and was truly surprised by the hugely empathetic response. I was treated with great kindness and much reassurance. Later on that evening, I received a phone call from Chris Biggs, checking up that I was somewhere safe, warm and had everything I needed. Everyone throughout the process of claiming - which is long and quite complicated, there was a listening ear and support. A big thank you to Howden Insurance! I am still moving forward and gradually my home is being restored.

I took advantage of Howden's promotion that they would pay me £50 if they could not beat the quote that I had from my previous Insurance Company.
They were true to their word and arranged Insurance for me at a far lower price than Saga, my previous Insurer could match.

I wasn’t challenging the company change and I know that markets have hardened. I was able to save hundreds by finding my own car insurance. Also saved lots simply by challenging home contents renewal quote. Never had to do all that before.

Somewhere in the past 12-24 months this has changed. I have often been unable to get through or get a response, and renewal quotes have been so much higher that I have had to challenge them to get the premium down, or go out and get my own insurance (as with my car).
