I had never used Howden before, but gave them a call when I ran into problems insuring my late mother's house, for which I am executor, but which is not my main residence. I had tried to renew with the previous insurer, but when I finally got through on the phone I had been passed amongst various staff based in offices abroad who repeatedly put me on hold to "check things". Apart from taking up a great deal of my time, this did not inspire confidence. In contrast the phone call to Howden in Maidenhead was quickly answered by Emilia, who proved a pleasure to deal with. She immediately grasped my situation, asked salient questions and kept me updated while she found a policy that I am confident covers my requirements. Emilia also confirmed that should I have the need to make a claim in the future, that I should speak to her or a colleague at Howden - rather than be left in a world of chatbots or non-answered telephones that plague many other insurers. It is refreshing to find a business that promotes customer service from a physical office just up the road from where I live. Thank you Emilia and thank you Howden!

Have just dealt with the Witney (Oxon) office dealing with Motorhomes. Very pleased. My initial call was answered within 3 rings of the phone. The person I needed was not available; I was promised a call back and this was received without any further chasing from me. Rob Moore dealt with my requirements thoroughly and expertly and emailed my cert of insurance immediately we completed the transaction - which was vital since I'm on holiday in Portugal over the insurance renewal date! Will be back next year!

just had my first experience of using Howden insurance. I used the Taunton branch dealing with Oliver and can honestly say it was a positive experience .Oliver was attentive and listened to my requirements and dealt with them and although not the cheapest quote which was an online no contact quote ,I wanted a car insurance that I could talk to a real person especially if I have to make a claim.
All in all I would give my experience 5 stars and will be back for any further insurance's

Firstly speaking to a person who you can understand is the first hurdle crossed, a lovely polite lady called kelsey dealt with my quote, although it did take a while from start to finish the policy was sorted within 40 mins, quite a complex quote due to price of the vehicle etc etc, to be fair not many insurers would even offer us a quote 🤷♀️. I would definitely recommend giving these guys a call, Thanks again Kelsey ☆☆☆☆☆

This week I insured my van and car with Howden Eastleigh. With Oliver Marshall and an other Oliver. Whose surname I forgot. (Sorry).
I always look at the market , trying to save every pound I can. (Like most of us do).
But I must say that howden insurance has never let me down.
After being with them for a number of years. They have always explained things, helped with questions, that I have asked, plus have a lovely manner and service style. Which in this day and age is wonderful.
I don’t normally write reviews, but on this occasion, I felt that being in the service industry myself . Give credit where credit is due keep up the good work

Have used this comoany for years formally APlan staff at the Welwyn always supportive helpful and patient Today insuring ny car and as usual was helped by a well trained member of staff Maria Ormesher who went out if her way in attempting to reduce the cost as for seniors like self and husband the costs get higher every year. Like all their staff Maria did her upmost to suggest how the bill could be reduced somewhat. She provided helpful advice and was proficient, kind and patient. Very grateful for her friendly and professional service. That is why I return each year plus of course the company's support if one needs advice All round a pleasure to do business with them
