Staff very friendly and welcoming. First time in insurance broker but very satisfied with service. Everything was explained and gentleman who helped me, Jack Threadgill, went above and beyond to help me find the correct insurance. Felt valued as a customer not a computer screen. Dealt with Marie Beardsley at the Beaconsfield branch; she was great! Knowledgeable, experienced and articulate, she helped me to quickly and efficiently get the cover that I need despite a more complicated lot of requirements than usual.

I was recommended to contact Howden Insurance....Am I glad I did,I spoke to a very helpful Ashley in Aylesbury who quoted be a competitive price for my horsebox with breakdown cover,I had several options of lorries to find the right size as had to try them out for size,eventually bought the right one,Ashley was so understanding about swapping lorry details etc, thank you Ashley

When experiencing a problem with a Home Emergency Insurance job, a call to Matthieu Chant at Howdens in Alton was treated with genuine concern and his action produced an almost instant response. This resulted in the urgent work being carried out within hours rather than days to our great relief. His manager, Jamie Bond, was also involved and made a very kind contribution to our situation. Jon Hardy at the Howdens branch in Parkstone has arranged my boat insurance for several years now. Im always happy with his professonal, but personal approach... and the price. So much so that i have recommended several others to try them out, which they have and they have come back to me with nothing but glowing reports. I find this really refreshing in the world of insurance where you feel that escalating premiums, automated answer machines and no discounts for exsisting customers has just become the norm and their art of speaking to people evolves more around extracting as much of your hard earned cash out of your pocket as they can... and not what is the best policy for you and your circumstances.

I have rated them excellent, because that accurately reflects their performance. I originally spoke to Howdens in Winchester, but they "transferred" me to the Thatcham office, because the insurance was for a classic car. The representatives to whom I spoke, in both offices were knowledgeable and efficient. They knew what I was talking about and what I wanted; better than I did at times. Overall they were helpful, polite and a pleasure to work with.

I have for a decade now my home and car insurances managed though Howden (preciously A-Plan). In all this time I have experienced impecable service and benefited from the advice of highly knowledgeable and reliable experts. A great example is my recent interaction with Alex Onslow in the Maidenhead branch. He has done an exceptional work on a non fault accident, dealing and discussing with the insurers and persistently staying on the case. In addition, as I am changing cars he has made sure I get the best advice during the process (guiding me on possible insurance costs for the various models I was looking at). In a nutshell: I got the piad excess on the non-fault accident back in record time, saved a large chunk of money on the new insurance and all was managed seamlessly, responsibly, transparently and efficiently by Alex. Great customer experience!
