Needed van insurance on a modified van, tow bar, dog crates, solar panel etc.. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and within 30 mins I had insurance sorted which was actually way cheaper than my current insurers quote - before modifications.... - very happy

Having taken out my car insurance earlier this year with Howdens (for the first time) I decided to get a quote for home insurance. The quote was cheaper than my renewal quote. It wasn’t as cheap as some quotes on comparison sites but for the sake of a few quid I decided to go with Howdens as I liked the idea of dealing with a local agent if there is a problem and I found the local agent (James) to be extremely polite and helpful.

My first experience of Howden and I am impressed. I arranged home and car insurance with them and staff were helpful, knowledgeable and very efficient in getting me a better deal than my previous insurers offered. The phone calls to arrange renewal were not easy to listen to and understand and twice we asked for hard copies to be sent to us to check before agreeing to the new documents but we never received them and had to repeat the phone calls. On the plus side the renewal suggestion was to our benefit. On future occasions we will be visiting the offices to overcome the need for phone calls.
