APlan/Howdens are my go-to insurance company. You ask for something and they go off and make it so. Very competitive prices, why would I want to compare these to others, when all you get following are 100s of spam emails from all and sundry.

So unhappy with the shambles of an experience with Admiral and called Howden on the recommendation of a friend and was blown away by how friendly, informative and straightforward the new policy fir my car insurance was. I was even given a really comparative quote including discounts. Only one number to call if needing breakdown or advice and UK based.
