Service is excellent but over-complicated. Having changed from our previous ins brokers due to their retirement, I found A-Plan rather OTT in terms of ringing up, sending several lots of paperwork (2 or 3 lots for the same renewal) for the same renewal. It felt a bit intrusive. The renewal was eventually done by phone and paid for by credit card. Previously we’d done it by bank transfer after receiving the renewal quote. After the phone call I got more paperwork. Not only with the policy documents enclosed, which I expected, but there was another form to fill in and sign, also details of how the firm would retain my credit card details. I feel such a welter of paperwork is unnecessary. An initial letter, a phone call and the policy documents would have sufficed. UPDATE:- Having had very helpful email responses to my review, the way forward should be a lot more streamlined. Thank you for addressing my concerns, Maddison.

Used A-plan on and off for years, I like them as they are easy to deal with and not in a call centre with that “not interested attitude”. Not always the cheapest but cheapest isn’t best but I get a price I’m happy with and they want to keep your custom. I’ll always speak to them first before deciding on my options. Give them a try, I did and keep coming back more often than not.
