I have dealt with many companies in my time for various reasons including many insurance companies. A-Plan came highly recommended by a close friend as I needed to change my car insurance. In the time that I have been with Guildford A-Plan I have had no reason for concern of any kind. I have never been involved as a customer with a company previously with staff which have been so professional, kind, friendly and have bent over backwards to provide my needs. Always asked if I would like a drink and received a great welcome. In fact they have been so efficient in their professional abilities that I have now changed my home insurance to A-plan
and saved money in the process. In a nut shell the staff at Guildford are round pegs in rounds holes and are like a breath of fresh air. It is great to deal with great people whom know what they are about. The Manageress Lottie deserves promotion because of her exemplary knowledge concerning her profession and the manner in how she deals with customers such as myself . The other members of staff in the office will I am sure go on to do well in their chosen profession not just because of their knowledge in their craft but also because of their ability to deal with people. In fact I can’t recall ever had any dealings with ANY company....... insurance or otherwise.....where the staff have been so friendly and helpful and good fun with a great sense of humour. A great bunch of people to say the least .In fact I personally view the staff at Guildford A-Plan more like my friends and far more than just people who are providing me with a service . I defy anyone to find a better team of efficient people whom create a great atmosphere in the workplace and whom are a credit to their profession .Anyone who is looking for various forms of insurance and better deals should go to Guildford A-Plan because like me you won’t regret it I promise. A-Plan is truly an amazing firm and I’m not saying that because I work for them but because I’ve worked for many companies before and I’ve never seen anything like it. I am proud to say I work and am a customer of a firm that gives its ALL for customers, always. You don’t see it behind the scene but I’ve never been in a firm that work this hard to keep its customers. It’s not about the price, it’s about the quality of service and the right product for customers. You can go online and get ridiculously cheaper price but what do you actually get? A-Plan can’t always be competitive but when you are with them you are in the right hands for sure! They definitely take care of their staff and with happy staff they also take care of you as clients. Highly recommended to work for or to come to as clients.

especially from Mathew Bennett, who did all he could to arrange a reasonably priced policy which was £25.00 cheaper than my previous
insurer "Direct Line" for the same cover. I would recommend this 1st class insurer.

Alex Jones from the Chester office has looked after us superbly. We have moved back to the U.K. from the USA and he advised us clearly on the fact that not all insurers would take into account the 6 + years no claim we had built up on our cars in the States. The quotes he obtained for my wife and myself were highly acceptable and he explained that when the annual renewal comes up, the pool of potential insurers will open up so hopefully there will be additional savings to be enjoyed. Alex went the extra yard and it was much appreciated!

We received 5* service from Wimbledon's A-Plan team (Charlie is a star). Having had our policy terminated over the phone by our existing insurer (Zurich - who were unable to cover some additional items we recently bought) we called A-Plan Wimbledon in a panic to try and remedy this. Within an hour, not only did we have the best quotes, but we had an entirely new policy up and running and could therefore breathe easier. Can't recommend this service enough and looking forward to working you in future.

I wrote a review of this company based on my experiences, but mainly prompted by one experience which I subsequently described. I have since been contacted by the branch manager, Lottie, who I feel has a genuine passion and desire to provide a good service, and we discussed at some length my experience(s) from which I reached the following conclusions
1. My insurance costs were marginally lower than I had been paying before....perception trumps reality.
2. You can't please all the people all the time, what seems to work for a great many of A plan's customers may not be suited to me.
3. Leave 24hrs before writing a review. While I recounted accurately my experience it was one event, and while it still happened, may not be an accurate reflection overall.

I went to A Plan because I was fed up with escalating home insurance costs and confusing and time consuming internet price comparison sites. Our house is big and old and quirky, which doesn't fit with internet insurance providers view of the world. At A-Plan, Archie Brinton was assigned to me and straight away I felt like I had stepped back about 40 years, to a time when nothing was too much trouble, the customer was always valued, service came before profit and true professionals still existed! Through a series of calls, Archie found a fantastic deal for me, almost halving my buildings and contents insurance cost for no loss of cover...in fact, I have now got increased cover on contents!
Archie was not actually alive 40 years ago...I am not even sure if his dad would have been either - and yet his calm and reassuring manner is something you would expect from someone three times his age!
The business as a whole seems great too. Archie referred to his boss when really unusual matters arose - she responded immediately with intelligence and professionalism.
Overall I cannot recommend this company enough! Forget Compare the Market - save a lot more money by getting yourself a real old fashioned insurance broker, with knowledge, grace and style!

This is the insurance for my second vehicle, an older car with low mileage, that I use as a run around. My main vehicle is a classic camper van on a restricted mileage. I paid more than I really wanted to for this insurance from A Plan, but very satisfied with the customer service as I was in the process of moving house when I bought the car, generally a good company.
