We recently sought A-Plan’s help with a car insurance policy for a car kept at a second home in Northern Ireland for when we go to visit family and friends. The Newbury Office were really helpful and sorted this out for us quickly and efficiently with a price that we were very happy with.

A plan insurance are always there constantly for all your needs .
Car insurance I feel they are the best , always updating you with better deals, & information about, how to give you better deals &, getting you the customer, value for money, & catering to the policy thats best for you with insurance.
I personally have been with them for 5 years with my motor insurance , they are friendly, polite , helpful, & caring team at basingstoke branch.
They don't push you into insurance you don't need , advice is second to none , helpful every time call with any questions I need answering. Brilliant service .

Didn’t have to do anything the guys just gave me a call to tell me they would call me in about 3 weeks to talk about my renewal just a couple of minutes and I was done. Only if everything was this easy.

OK you might be able to get a cheaper quote on a comparison site, but not too much customer service, in fact it may be appalling
With A plan one call and you're directly sorting out your issues with a professional and knowledgeable team member, unlike the comparison sites where let's face it, are just call handlers therefore you will be in a queue,put on hold, and/or transferred.
So just to sum up,a few extra pounds to insure my car with A Plan safeguards me from a lot of misery and frustration.

I don’t believe you get value for money when you compare like for like with other insurers. Prices went down this year by £25 when the vehicle has probably been driven about 1-2000 miles in the last year and the excess has gone up to a whooping £650-700 with maximum no claims.

Sorry but I can only give average due to your partner company Close Brothers that administer your monthly payments have (and still are) being difficult to deal with.
The quote and deal that Gloucester Aplan have got me and the service was/is excellent but you have been dragged down by the fact that Close Brothers are finding that a simple change of address on a credit agreement cannot be resolved.

I was impressed by the chap that sorted out my specialist motor insurance. Unfortunately things went a bit wrong from then on. Chap number one had told me he would ask chap number two to call me ref PI and PL cover. Chap 2 tried me once and left a voicemail; no issue there. However, despite calling several times and finding that chap 2 was unavailable and so leaving messages for him to call me again; a call never came.
On a separate mater I called for chap 1; he was unavailable and so I asked the frankly snotty young lady who picked up the phone if she could help which she grudgingly did.
Then on another call I spoke with a very helpful lady who had been asked to contact me ref PI & PL. We duly went through her list of questions and I felt quite reassured we were back on track....... have heard nothing since!

The reinsurance of my car was completed in a very easy and pleasant way via telephone calls with A Plan staff and confirmations through E mail and letters from and to me.
The whole process was easy and conducted politely and helpfully by the A Plan staff.
I would certainly retain A Plan for any future insurance requirements
