So glad we chose to go to Howden Hemel Hempstead. The difference between talking to disinterested, insurance companies, or completing tedious and impersonal comparison site’s endless questions, was night and day.
We were in a bit of a muddle between my wife’s and mine policies. Gavin not only sorted everything out, but ended up getting comparable prices with reputable insurers.
On top of all that, it just felt so much better talking to such a nice person, who really knew what he was doing and actually cared.

Arranging home insurance renewal via phone for my mum who struggles. Very helpful chap at the Altrincham office patiently updated some incorrect info & provided sound, reasonable advice about details in the forms. He even got an updated quote in a few minutes & saved my mum £30. Star!

I had a lot of questions about my vintage car and Heather Gorton answered my questions in a professional and friendly manner. I have been a customer for over 20 years and would not wish to insure my vintage car with any other company. I have found them to be very efficient, knowledgeable and professional at all times. Howden's Welwyn branch were able to review a couple of quotes for unoccupied house insurance. They advised on the best option. I felt able to discuss it and consider my needs. They also lowered the price when asked.
I felt no pressure to purchase the policy.
Four stars because the policy was not sent once the payment was made, I had to email and ask for the policy document, unlike other insurers who send it straight away or confirm the policy is in place. It took five days for the policy documents to be sent by email.
