I had to renew my house insurance. I spoke to an amazing, lovely lady called Joanna Dudzik at Tooting. She was very patient with me and nothing was too much trouble.

I have dealt with A Plan for over 40 years (in fact the same office in St Albans) and have taken out all types of cover eg motorcycle, car, house, travel & life.
The staff are always fantastic, whether trying to improve on premium price or in the unfortunate event of having to make a claim and will always go the extra mile to help.
I have always valued and trusted their help and advice. This coupled with the fact that you can telephone and/or call in to see them & discuss things face-to-face is something that I find a true asset in these days of remote and inpersonel call-centres.
I would highly recommend A Plan to anyone looking for insurance cover.

I haven't yet received my hard copy of the documents. I tried and failed miserably to access the policy online.
I usually find A-Plan extremely good and would recommend their use to anyone - this on-line blip is just a tad irritating but wouldn't stop me from recommending their services.

Renewing my insurance went smoothly, but due to lockdown my car only traveled 195 miles last year with no claims. The news on the T.V. said insurance is unlikely to go up with some companies, due to lack of claims. My insurance went up? I queeried this, but it still went up. A plan adjusted my premium by ÂŁ10.00, they will post my paperwork, one month later still no paperwork?

Overall A-Plan Newbury are good to deal with, but, considering how much business I've put their way over the years, I was surprised that I couldn't use a ÂŁ50 voucher against the renewal of my car insurance policy. It is only for new policies, but although the car policy had technically expired and therefore I needed a new quote, and it was more expensive, I still couldn't use the voucher as it wasn't a totally new policy!! Seems a bit unfair to be honest.

The contention of my original review was that APlan did not set premiums but as a big market player should be able to use its clout to bear down on the runaway charges being levied by insurance companies - particularly in specialised areas where these companies seem to pluck figures out of the air and then double them! To its credit, APlan subsequently took this up with the insurers and obtained a retrospective discount for me so well done for persevering.
