Having been declined by co-op, with whom I have had house and buildings insurance for years, when I disclosed having a lodger or two and my daughter grooming dogs from home, I approached A-Plan somewhat skeptically. They were brilliant - took my details, found me cover quickly and now I'm happily insured despite not being your standard 2 up 2 down family dwelling. I always wondered how insurance brokers survived these days with all the on-line access - the answer is great customer service and dealing effectively and quickly with anything that's not standard run of the mill.

Great service. Discussed the pros and cons of two policy options. Did not feel hurried or pressured. A definite plus is speaking to a local advisor who is not in a call centre in a remote part of the world.

I contacted A-Plan and spoke to Jo Payne to get a quote for my new car a Toyota C-HR Hybrid. She took all my details and promised to get back to me with a quotation which she did. I had a few more questions which she said she would deal with and get back to me which she did later that afternoon. I accepted the quote and paid the agreed fee. Jo then emailed the insurance certificate over to me ready for me to be able to collect my new car the following day.
I found Jo to be most helpful and professional in the way she dealt with me during the day and afterwards when she responded promptly to my email sending her information she had requested confirming my No Claims Discount with my previous insure.
