Milly was absolutely amazing! I lost a lot of my business resources during recent flooding. I contacted Howdens and Milly took on my case. She liaised with the insurance company for me and kept me up to date at every single step whether this was a quick phone call or email. Milly ensured that the insurance company were paying for everything that was covered and even challenged them when they weren't going to pay out for something which was covered in my policy. She read through the policy in detail and found the relevant clause which they then agreed was indeed covered.

Howden (previously A-Plan) have always been brilliant from the start of myself and also my mum placing our insurance with them. Always a friendly helpful human being at the end of the phone straight away. Today though Jose surpassed it all and on a really difficult day when I really needed some support. He was patient with me, went the extra mile and brought a solution. And Jose, in case you didn't know, one translation of your name means 'God will give'!
If anyone out there is fed up with the impersonal way things are done these days, switch to Howden Insurance/A-Plan and get a decent human being again!

Recently found myself talking with Paul in the Stratford-upon-Avon branch when looking for a quote for camper van insurance. Not often I get to say that I was seriously impressed with the service. Knowledgeable, professional, speedy and polite, Paul asked all the right questions to understand my needs and pulled together my options quickly, even going over and above in ensuring that I had a hassle free experience and was left able to focus on the job of going to view the vehicle rather than having any worries of insurance or commitments. Anyway, van purchased so thanks Paul, I'll be back soon to discuss house insurance. Looking forward to it!

Due to you having a programming fault the printer printed off the dates on one of my sheets as nov 22 to nov 23 and not 23 to 24 (ask Amy), but one of your staff sent the paperwork to me with the mistakes intact on the sheet and when I rang up had the audacity to tell me "it did not matter". Paperwork from you should be checked before it is sent out, and any mistakes DO MATTER to me because I am a miserable old git and I want things right and I have the time to check paperwork to see any faults so it is a disaster for anyone to tell me "mistakes do not matter!

As my premium increased by more than 90%, earlier notice would have been appreciated. I hadn’t budgeted for such a significant extra cost which I had to find and pay pretty much straight away.
I’m a long time APlan customer and have been happy with the service, to date, and, confident in the pricing received without the need to test the market myself. I’m hoping this will continue post Howden
