When I tried to add my non-UK resident son to my car insurance, I could no longer do it. I phoned A-Plan, who my daughter uses, and was quickly found an insurer that would, and at a reasonable price. Cancelled old policy and took out new one. Bingo. Saved hours trying to do the same online.
