I recently renewed my car insurance with Tom Howland at Howden Group. Tom was very helpful in understand the complex needs of my insurance, gave me options and good advice to maximise cover whilst minimising cost.

I spoke with Chris and Adam from the Taunton office. Both of them were extremely helpful and explained everything thoroughly. After my initial quotation and further investigation managed to get the price down even further saving me just over £40, this may not seem a lot but my current insurers renewal was up £100 on the previous year. From my experience the service is excellent and I would highly recommend Howden. For me it’s relieved the stress of trailing through the internet.

Fantastic to speak to a real person as insurance is trickier than you think and I’ve previously been insured incorrectly. Dan at Basingstoke was a delight to deal with and helped me understand and get the best insurance. I’ve used APlan ( now Howden) for years for most of my insurance needs. Totally trustworthy and incredibly genuine company

My request for insurance was treated seriously and the company found a suitable policy for my needs (although I would have liked flood insurance as well). The policy wouldn't open electronically as it required more information that wasn't provided, however I was then sent a copy by email and also given a paper copy.

I didn't hesitate and nor did Alex during this business. Because of her professionalism, I felt I was treated as an individual and extremely welcome and free to negotiate. I have been an A-Plan customer for a great number of years and remain so under the new HOWDEN Group Insurance services umbrella. Consistently helpful, knowledgeable staff with true customer facing skills and qualities and always willing to “ go the extra mile” when needed. They are available for contact via landline or online and response times a very impressive I have found. They have the additional advantage of High Street offices for those who prefer walk-in face to face contact also.Their pricing as an established and fully accredited broker is very competitive too…..I have no hesitation in Recommending The Welwyn Garden City team who I have been working and continue to work with …

Spoke to Robbie, found that he actually cares about their customers, he wasn't pushy and very helpful. He said he would get the best deal he could, which we were pleased with. So thank you Robbie. I must also add I have spoken with 2 others who also have the same attitude. Lastly, I received an email from the manager of the branch thanking me for choosing them and to contact them any time if I have any further questions or need any further advice. I was very impressed as I had never received anything like that before - at last a company who isn’t thinking about money before customers. So thank you all at Howdens. Highly recommend them.

I renewed my car insurance with Howden somewhat reluctantly. I had a brief chat with one of the Farnham branch staff to see what, if any, alternative quotes were possible. I was assured I had been given the “best possible” quote. I then used a comparison website and received three quotes which I felt were worth taking further. Inquiry established an underwriter I would definitely never use again. I intended to use the remaining quote but unfortunately a “family crisis” took precedence resulting in a renewal.
