I was shocked at the huge increase in the price of home insurance and found several much lower quotes via GO COMPARE but, when I rang A Plan to discuss the reasons for the increase, I was told that it was market forces and the companies that they deal with don’t give any credit for having an approved alarm system and, in fact, they advise customers to give a false answer because the insurers will not pay up if an alarm is declared and then not set when a burglary takes place. I did not feel that the A Plan agent was at all sympathetic or explanatory but loyalty persuaded me to stick with their recommendation because I did not have time to follow up the GO COMPARE quotes.

After doing due diligence on comparison websites, the difference was insignificant- a couple of quid! What shone throughout was the quality of customer service; quite simply Adam could not have tried harder to keep my business and his endeavours were greatly appreciated.
In a world where everyone is trying to undercut everyone else, often at the expense of quality and expertise. I am reassured to know that should this worst happen, I could not be in better hands.

When we phoned the second time to amend information we had to start as we were taking out cover for the first time. We paid for our insurance by credit card the first time to your agent. When we were asked to pay on the second occasion we were directed to using the phone pad. That did not work so we had to start again.

Not a lot to say. I get an e-mail, and paperwork by post for car and buildings insurance. If I am happy, I phone The Bath Office, and pay the full amount by bank card, and that's it till next time.
