I rang and spoke to Sam Palmer at BSEds branch. A very straightforward conversation. I had never consulted a broker previously. I was fed up with whatever insurance company I was with putting up my premiums with feeble excuses when challenged. Although Sam got confused about my name he apologised and dealt with putting it right. No excuses were offered. A refreshing change.

Have used A Plan for Home & Car Insurance for several years now. They offer the best price usually a little higher than what you can find on line but still good value. I choose A Plan as I believe that if you need help they are just a phone call away and do not work from a call centre.

Our situation was a little complicated but Alex spent a long time going through it with us and got everything sorted. He was was very quick to answer emails - some places I contacted never replied. Excellent customer service and very friendly.

Not the good service it used to be. Been with A-Plan Thatcham for over 5 years now with multiple vehicles, don’t even bother to ring around they’ve been that good.
I used to ring the Thatcham office and a member of staff used to answer phone and then deal directly with you. It was a good personal service.
Now this number rings and gets diverted to a more central location where you’re put on hold straight away. 5 minutes later the receptionist answers and tells you everyone is busy.
I needed to sort out insurance quickly and their systems and method of working did not come up to scratch. They eventually quoted me and I accepted and took out the policy. Some two weeks later they have phoned me to say THEY made a mistake and my premium would be £20 more. They insisted I needed to pay rather than waiving this additional charge.
I need to think whether I should start to ring around again in future.

Seem to be unsure about window insurance When asked if it was covered when glass became loose told no “wear and tear”.
When asked if it was insured when wanting to renew initially told “yes”!
On further investigation and sent to a higher level said it was wear and tear. Got it fixed for less than the excess.
Trouble with insurance you never know with a company until you make a claim!
