Great fun and all very friendly, both my son & daughter have been members for years, attending mainly Stretton but also Ford on occasions. Senior members are always helpful and pass on knowledge to the younger members I would encourage any parent to let their kids have a go it gives them such confidence and respect.

Bushido judokwai 473 is a friendly club with an ethos of hard work and fair play. My son recently joined and cannot wait to get back each Monday evening. The coaches impart their knowledge in a clear fun way.

This is a fantastic club, my 6 year old son loves to attend his weekly Judo session. Mike and his highly qualified team are very friendly and the relationship they develop with the kids are second to none. The club caters for all age groups with a mix of abilities, i cannot recommend this club enough, give it a go.

My sons have been attending this club since the age of five. We find it friendly but more importantly it has taught my boys the skills required to compete. Both have achieved top blue/brown belts. If this club wasn't fun and didn't push them they wouldn't have reached this level. I have also used the club for my Beavers for a fitness challenge badge - they loved the experience but have also, as a result, joined the club too.

This is a fantastic club for children, my sons have been going for the last 6 years and progressed through the grades brilliantly. Roger and his team are friendly and the way they interact with the kids is second to none, if your child is interested in Judo I cannot recommend this club enough.

I've been a member of the club for the last 10 years, starting as a junior; I quickly made the county squad, and with other members of the club fought all over the country. The atmosphere in the Dojo is fantastic, everyone gets along really well, and there’s fantastic banter. The coaches are also fantastic, engaging, intuitive, and have a real passion for the sport. When I speak to people out and about in Shrewsbury and I tell them that I do judo, they say “oh I used to do that when I was younger, is Roger still there?” So not only does the club have a great history, but it is also going places in the future as well.

I have been a member of the club as both a junior and senior player. Amongst the seniors there is a nice mix of those looking to learn and knowledgeable dan grades (black belts) who are always willing to give up their own training time to offer advice to others. Roger also, always makes Parents very welcome so the Parents of junior players can watch their child participate in a fun and exciting sport under the guidance of a very experienced coach.

A really friendly, fun club with high qualified instruction. The kids classes are really popular and the coaches are brilliant with them. Adults classes are a mix of ages and grades, with every lesson having a good warm-up before technique learning, randori (free practice) and groundwork. Top club.

Having stopped Judo over 25 years ago, I decide to see if my old club was still about and I found out it was an the coach Roger was still the same. From day one I felt welcome at the club, and for the 6 months I have been attending I have found everyone in the club trying to help each other get better. I have also found my fitness level significantly improve. The club caters for all levels and all ages. So to anyone I suggest give it a go, you will be welcome, you will have fun and get fit.
