News release from Rugby Borough Council

Young people in Rugby will have lots to do this half term with the ever-popular SMART programme of art activities at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.

From Saturday 25 May to Saturday 1 June 2013, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is running a packed programme for young people with free activities available every day.  Explore the art works with the ‘Art Detective Hunt’, then enter the draw for a chance to win a prize.  The Rugby Collection exhibition displaying Rugby’s very own art collection is still on with self-guided family friendly art and craft activities.

On Bank Holiday Monday a very special Victorian play session will take place in the museum.  Join in with the dressing up, object handling and making your own toys between 1-3pm.

On Thursday 30 May 2013 explore the wild side of art by creating landscape prints with natural materials 10.30am -12.30pm.

For little ones we have printing-  Egyptian style. Create your own scarab prints with the Little Discoveries session on Friday 31 May 2013 1.30-2.30pm.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for all drop-in activities.
