Rugby’s Festival of Culture, running from Monday 2nd until Sunday 15th July, at a variety of town centre locations and venues, has got off to a flying start with many events sold out and some excellent feedback already from those attending them!
The Feast of entertainment is set to continue this week with a Food Fayre, Street entertainment, Salsa night, comedy evening, live Jazz, poetry, an opportunity to ‘Meet a brewer’, Nicola Loud in concert and a spectacular Elgar concert to bring the curtain down on the Festival on the evening of Sunday 15th July!
If we have whetted your appetite, make sure you don’t miss out on Rugby’s first ‘Food Fayre’, taking place in Rugby Town Centre on Thursday 12th July, between 10am and 4:00 pm.
This mouth-watering event offers visitors a great opportunity to taste, smell and buy some tasty treats from over twenty stalls selling a fantastic array of high quality food and drinks. You can also pick up some handy tips from a variety of demonstrations running throughout the day (full programme available from www.rugbyfestivalofculture.co.uk).
If you like your food why not also enjoy one of the special festival menus being served in town by several restaurants or visit one of the restaurants offering a great combination of quality food and music that includes jazz and Salsa! Of course you’ll need to quench your thirst so take time out to enjoy a beer, cider or glass of wine (along with some music) at one of the three beer and cider festivals taking place during the festival!
Supported by Rugby First, Rugby Borough Council and a wide variety of local individuals, groups and organisations the festival has over 70 events that are guaranteed to offer some great fun and entertainment for everyone.
