His Background

For five years Chas worked at a well established day nursery where he gained all the relevant qualifications, working his way up the ladder from a nursery nurse to room leader to third in charge.

Soon the opportunity arose for him to become the deputy manager of an even larger nursery that had 120 children and 46 staff, and it was this experience that led him to become the manager at Monty’s Nursery.

Why Chas loves Monty’s

Chas is a character you warm to within minutes of meeting him. With a big open smile and down to earth friendly manner, you can see why the children and his team respond so well to him.

Says Chas - ‘With Monty’s Nursery being a small, private nursery, I felt I had the chance to really make a difference. I really enjoy the learning and training - this is vital for my team’s progress. I am always looking for ways to develop my team to their full potential - happy staff means a happy nursery, and ensures that standards remain high.’

In 2012, Chas picked up the “Nursery Personality of the Year” award for the Nursery Management Magazine in 2012 highlighting how efficient he is when it comes to managing a nursery.

Monty's nurseries are open 51 weeks a year, placements are now being taken.
