Perfect location as I was heading home and needed a stop over night, staff really friendly, food was great, had the football on which was a bonus, room was clean and tidy and beds comfy, no complaints whats so ever, would be happy to stop here again

Was there for a meeting, parking limited. Enter downstairs but have to go upstairs to reception. Then had to go back downstairs to the meeting room. Not very well signposted inside. Clean, staff polite

Here with work. The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful. Didn't stay over, so can't comment on the rooms, but the food is excellent!

I used this Holiday Inn as a one night stopover en route to Scotland and en route back as part of a coach tour.

Close to the town centre, great service, very clean. Only let down was being given a single bed (twin room) when expecting a double.

Overall good experience with staff and service (Lorraine, Sean, Tess, Yash) during breakfast service are great and credit to the hotel).
Stayed for 5 nights for business, and it was a good experience and location of the town. Rooms are clean and decent size, amenities are also good (Dove shampoo and wash).
The breakfast available is also above average and well prepared.
If you are lucky you will get a free parking space (you need to put your car registration at reception). The main let down is if there are no spaces, you will need to drive out and loop around the hotel to park at the bus station directly opposite.
Tips: The Bus station car park costs £6 (24 hours) and does not take card on the machine. However you can make a payment on card via Ringo App. Also when you drive it, I would recommend parking straight away on that 1st floor near the first pay machine (closet to the hotel, after taking the stairs/lift).

I only attended for a hearing test and stayed for just under an hour. The hotel was clean, the staff member was helpful and curtious. Access is well signed although the car park is a little small. On arrival don't forget to put your vehicle details in the computer at reception on the first floor.

Arrived and created by a lovely receptionist who explained the hotel to me and ensured that I knew where everything was and timings for dinner and breakfast and of course bar opening :-)
Arrived to my first room to find a dirty town on the floor in the door way as soon as I opened the door so didn’t go any further in to the room but from the door looked like everything else had been done but still you don’t want to be greeted to your room with this. Quick trip down stairs and the lovely receptionist soon apologised for this (although not her fault) changed my room and gave me a comp drink as a way of saying sorry for this
Second room all lovely and clean as you would expect
Restaurant food was very nice had the stake and ale pie would be rude not to :-) could do with improved gravy as this was like brown water with how thick it was but rest of main was good. desert Sticky toffee pud nom nom this time custard was like porridge extremely thick and not much of it so that let the desert down

All in all a very nice holiday inn will 100% be staying here again when in the area

A great hotel, far better than I anticipated. Lovely and warm during the cold evenings. Air conditioning to keep you cool during the hot months.
Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety.

This place is a little gem. The staff are really lovely, friendly and helpful. Check in on Friday afternoon 3rd November was smooth and the lady was just lovely. The restaurant/bar is lovely and breakfast was outstanding! My room was comfortable, clean and modern and the rest of the hotel was quite lovely. Really happy to have booked here.

Rooms need to be alot more cleaner. The sight of mouse traps made it less appealing. Housekeeping needs to be more efficient so that the rooms get cleaned regardless of guests leaving or overstaying more than one night. Location was amazing within close proximity to city centre and breakfast was lovely including the staff who were kind and accommodating.
