Oxford City has 2 main areas where regular markets are held. Additionally there are several localised out-of-town weekly farmers' markets.
This year the Museum of Oxford celebrates its 40 years in the town hall. To mark this exciting period we are launching a 40:40 project - forty things for forty years. We want the people of Oxford and all partners and businesses to help us find 40 things that you think are exclusively Oxford. Anything that inspires, fascinates, provokes or intrigues you about Oxford. It could be pictures, objects, stories, places, interesting facts, films almost anything goes!

Some car boot sales are open all year round and some for just the summer season. Please let us know if you find anything to be incorrect, or have any to add to the list.

We are working to create a better food system for Oxford and have recently opened an online shop where you can order some of the best local produce, sourced from small independent local producers. Take a look!
Green Homes Together, with the support of 15 local authorities across Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire, are offering residents up to 100% funding towards loft and cavity wall insulation as part of a wider scheme aimed at improving the warmth and comfort of homes.
If you’d prefer to give a voucher rather than a bulky present for Christmas why not consider one that will give the recipient something to do locally and support local business at the same time? We’ve put together a selection of local businesses that give Gift Vouchers for a variety of uses – mostly with a discount off their normal prices too.
