Oxford's Christmas Light Festival is a collaboration between more than 20 venues in Oxford providing live music and dance performances, arts installations and free cultural activities for the communities of the city.

The Christmas Light Festival this year will be held over the weekend of 21-23 November 2014  and is open to all. Local artists, dancers, performers and musicians are busily working with over 20 of our city’s venues to create an exciting programme of free events with the theme of ‘See Your City in a Different Light.’

Visit the Oxford's Christmas website for full details.

"See your city in a different light at Oxford's Christmas Light Festival. Hundreds of free arts events. Dozens of venues. One magical weekend."

This year, Oxford is inviting everyone in to explore spaces around the city and enjoy hundreds of free events over the festival weekend.

This year the festival is delighted to have Westgate Shopping Centre Oxford as lead sponsor of the young people’s Light Installation, which will see trainees from the University’s museums working with six city primary schools to create giant light sculptures inspired by the museum’s collection.

Every year local community groups come together in the spirit of Christmas and create magical events for the festival.
