Message from Claire Briers - (Owner/Landlady at The Black Horse, Foxton)

Hello you beautiful lot!
Well it's late October, the autumn colours are stunning, it's Halloween and time for me to give a quick update!
You know we always listen to our customers and we know times are hard. Everything in the shops has been going up in price, and we won't even talk about energy prices!
So, we want to help wherever we can and it seems that by offering some different size portion meals at a reduced cost might help some budgets. We also know that people have different appetites and sometimes a smaller portion is more appropriate. Obviously we don't want to compromise on ingredients or the quality of your meals, but in some cases we can offer smaller portions which are now offered on our menus.
We also know you'd like some more 'comfort foods' on the menu at smaller price tags - a meal for less than £9. 00 was suggested. So, as the title says, 'your wish is our command' - just select some of the new dishes on our latest menus.
OK, maybe we will speak briefly about energy prices - but only to suggest coming to the pub and using our facilities to keep warm and cosy during the colder months, rather than racking up your gas and heating bills at home. Come and enjoy our fire (when lit) from 4.30pm onwards, meet some new or old friends and literally 'make yourself at home' and have some fun with us at The Black Horse. You know you'll be made to feel very welcome.
Daniel and I are looking forward to a short break in November and I must admit we can't wait. It's been a tough year, some joy, some sadness but we've had some great fun as well, (trying to keep up with what's going on at Westminster for one thing!) But we are also looking forward to coming back well in time for Christmas and of course to see all your happy smiles!
